The Greek Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy & Development, Mr. Yannis Dragasakis met with the President & CEO of ONEX Group, Mr. Panos Xenokostas, today Wednesday September 19th, 2018 at his office.
During their meeting Mr. Xenokostas, on behalf of ONEX Group, expressed the company’s interest in acquiring the shipyards of Elefsis and Skaramangas, following the successful rehabilitation of Neorion Syros Shipyards.
Whereas, Mr. Dragasakis stressed the importance of the development of the shipbuilding industry in Greece.
He concluded that the Greek Government is open to any proposal that contributes to this goal, in terms of job creation and long-term growth.
The meeting was attended by Mr. Apostolis Makrykostas, General Secretary of Industry.
